Getting Here |

Getting to Australia is another thing. We are due to set off on Wednesday 3rd October from our home in the Lake District in Cumbria, England.
We need to travel to Manchester (approx 2 hours from home). Our first flight is scheduled for 1920 (BA1407) departing from Manchester and arriving in London Heathrow at 2025 (time so far: 3hrs 5min).
Our connecting flight (BA009) is scheduled for departure at 2200, giving us just over 90 minutes to have a quick look round Heathrow and to get to our departure gate.
The flight from Heathrow stops at Bangkok for re-fuelling (approx 2 hrs), and arrives in Sydney at 0605 (2 days later?).
OK, now it’s the 5th October (we should be in Sydney now). We fly from Sydney to Cairns with Quantas on flight QF167 (bliss - Quantas has to be one of the best airlines I have ever travelled with - the trolley dollies, sorry, flight attendants are always pleasant, helpful and will go out of their way to help).
We should arrive in Cairns at 1110 (still on the 5th October), and head off to our new home for the week.
